When you have completed a 12 year Turkish Lyceum
and have successfully taken the university entrance examination, you meet the requirements for studying in Germany. However, you only have the subject-specific university entrance qualification. This means that in Germany you can only choose the subject that you have chosen in Turkey and that is related to it. So you should find out exactly about the universities and subject areas in Germany before you choose your subject and base your choice of subject before the entrance exam in Turkey. TIP: The university (and university city) in Turkey does not matter; With different point limits you should concentrate on where you can get admission for your desired subject.
(For graduates of a vocational high school, somewhat different rules apply. They must also enroll at a Turkish university and study successfully for at least 1 year in order to acquire a subject-related university entrance qualification in Germany.)
The next steps are:
- Learn (further) German to prepare for the visa application and your stay in Germany.
- Apply to a German university for a preparatory course and get conditional admission. This is tied to the condition that you learn German for one or two semesters until you have achieved a C1 level and a corresponding certificate. As a rule, you will need the following documents for your application: 1. Lise diplomasi; 2. ÖSYM sinav sonuc belgesi; 3. (if available) certificate of enrollment and / or transcript and / or diploma from a Turkish university.
- Register at our partner institute in Germany for preparatory German intensive courses up to level C1. You will receive a certificate for 6 or 12 months, for example.
- You apply for a visa to prepare for your studies and emphasize when submitting the application that you first want to attend preparatory German courses and then start studying in Germany.
